Job Description

SAINI \& SONS LIMITED, operating a retail liquor store in Auckland, is looking to appoint an experienced Store Manager to oversee store operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team, ensuring efficient daily operations, and maintaining consistently high levels of customer service and store standards.

Key Duties:

  • Oversee and coordinate daily store operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and well-organised performance.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies to support competitiveness and achieve profit objectives.
  • Plan and execute promotional activities and marketing initiatives to drive sales growth and meet business goals.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure a positive and welcoming in-store experience.
  • Establish and enforce operational procedures, including service standards, purchasing processes, advertising plans, and store presentation.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the business, attract new customers, and improve overall store profitability.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage inventory control, and ensure proper stock rotation and availability of products.
  • Lead recruitment, training, supervision, and ongoing development of store staff to ensure strong team performance.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and staff while resolving issues and complaints professionally.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, including financial forecasting, cost control, and performance monitoring.
  • Supervise daily cash handling processes, including balancing tills, reconciling transactions, and completing banking procedures.
  • Review invoices, identify and resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial and sales records.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, as well as all relevant health and safety requirements.

The candidate will be required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $30 to $35 per hour.

Other requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or a relevant Level 5 qualification or above.
  • Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) preferred.
  • Duty Manager Certificate preferred.
  • Availability to work on weekends as required.
  • Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a team.
  • Hardworking, committed, and passionate about the role.
  • Strong ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
