KRIDDHI LIMITED, trading as Ngunguru Takeaway, is looking for a reliable and experienced Store Manager to manage the day-to-day operation of a busy takeaway shop in Ngunguru, Whangārei.
This is a hands-on management position. The successful applicant must be available to work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday as these are the business’s busiest trading days. Additional shifts may be rostered depending on business needs.
Job type: Full-time, permanent
Pay rate: $32.00 to $35.00 per hour
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week, maximum 50 hours per week
Key duties
The Store Manager will be responsible for: Managing the daily operation of the takeaway shop;
Supervising and supporting staff during busy service periods;
Preparing staff rosters and ensuring there is appropriate staff coverage;
Training staff in workplace procedures, customer service, food handling, and store standards;
Providing good customer service and resolving customer issues professionally;
Monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and checking deliveries;
Managing cash handling, EFTPOS, end-of-day cash-up, and basic store administration;
Ensuring the shop is clean, organised, and well presented;
Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures are followed;
Monitoring shop performance and reporting to the business owner/director;
Assisting with recruitment and staff performance management when required;
Ensuring the business complies with workplace policies and relevant legal requirements.
Skills and experience required
Applicants must have: Previous experience in hospitality, retail, customer service, or a supervisory role;
The ability to supervise staff and manage a busy workplace;
Good communication and customer service skills;
Good organisation and time-management skills;
The ability to work under pressure during busy periods;
The ability to work rostered shifts, including Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday,
Basic computer, stock control, and cash-handling skills;
A reliable, honest, and professional attitude.
Other requirements Applicants must be able to: Provide at least one work reference;
Pass a drug test if required;
Pass police vetting if required;
Work flexible rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
