Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the Stewarding Department and lead the stewarding team.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene in all kitchen, dishwashing, storage, and food preparation areas.
- Ensure all kitchen and F\&B equipment is cleaned, maintained, and used correctly.
- Monitor and control stewarding supplies, equipment inventory, and breakage records.
- Ensure compliance with Bahrain Food Control regulations, food safety standards, and company hygiene policies.
- Coordinate waste disposal and pest control to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Monitor the safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Train, coach, and motivate stewarding staff on hygiene, safety, and operational procedures.
- Report equipment faults promptly and follow up to ensure timely repairs.
- Support kitchen and F\&B operations during peak service periods and special events.
- Maximize the efficient use of staff, materials, and equipment while controlling operating costs.
- Ensure all team members follow fire safety, emergency, and health \& safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory and operational supplies.
- Assist in managing the Stewarding Department in the absence of the Chief Steward or Stewarding Manager.
- Foster a positive, safe, and productive working environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Critical skills and competencies required for this post:
Five star hotel apprenticeship of two years/or any catering industries
3 years’ experience in stewarding and 1 year stewarding supervisor experience
Team Leader mature confident Very good keeping high staff moral
Good written and verbal English Skill Able to get along with people at all levels
Good knowledge on Health and safety procedure and implementation
Well-groomed and presentable at all times. Practice good hygiene
Mentally alert, able to work long hours (if work load comes) and to handle pressure
Should be able to handle pressure and able to adapt to all situation
Well maintained Kitchen Healthy and Hygiene Open, friendly environment
Flexible hours in accordance with job requirement.
