Experienced Steel Fabricator
Elite Tech Precision – Kildare
Due to continued growth and expansion, Elite Tech Precision is looking for an experienced and reliable Steel Fabricator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a workshop-based position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, working as part of our steel fabrication team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, welding and preparation of steel components and structures used across our industrial and automatic door projects. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and can produce a high standard of steel fabrication and welding.
The Role
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Steel fabrication and welding of components and structures
- Measuring, cutting, drilling and preparing steel materials
- MIG welding and assembling fabricated steel components
- Reading and working from drawings, dimensions and measurements
- Fabricating brackets, frames, supports and other steel components
- Using workshop machinery, hand tools and power tools
- Carrying out modifications and repairs to existing steelwork
- Ensuring all fabricated steelwork is accurate and completed to a high standard
- Inspecting finished work for quality, accuracy and weld quality
- Preparing fabricated components for installation by our site teams
- Working closely with the installation and service teams where required
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop
- Following company health and safety procedures at all times
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Steel Fabricator is essential
- Strong welding and fabrication skills
- Experience working with mild steel and other metals
- Good practical and mechanical ability
- Ability to read and work from fabrication drawings
- Competent with hand and power tools
- MIG welding experience
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Ability to work to deadlines and production requirements
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Good communication skills
- Fluent English
- Eligible to work in Ireland
Essential
- Experience fabricating steel frames, brackets and structural components
- Previous experience within the industrial door, construction, engineering or manufacturing sectors
- TIG welding experience
- Experience using cutting, drilling and fabrication machinery
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification
