Sr. ProServe Account Executive, Professional Services, Auto & Mfg

DESCRIPTION

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a dynamic ProServe Account Executive (PAE) to join our AWSI Automotive and Manufacturing practice in EMEA. In this sales role, you will engage new and existing customers in transformative engagements spanning Technology and AI Strategy, cloud-native architectures, connected vehicles, smart factories, and enterprise cloud transformation.

You will work closely with Account Teams, ProServe Cloud Architects, Engagement Managers, and Delivery Consultants to drive customer success and business growth. As ProServe's customer relationship owner, you will define business outcomes for customers by building trust, identifying applicable AWS Professional Services offerings, creating proposals, and securing customer signoff on Statements of Work (SOW). Following project launch, you will stay connected with the customer to ensure delivery of agreed Customer Business Outcomes (CBO).

The automotive and manufacturing industries are in the midst of a transformation. Generative AI, applied machine learning, and cloud-native architectures are fundamentally reshaping how these companies design products, run factories, and deliver customer experiences. You will be at the center of this transformation, working directly with executives and technology leaders to define bold visions and then close the deals that make them real.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead business development efforts by engaging automotive and manufacturing customers and driving high-value professional services engagements
• Identify, shape, and close professional services opportunities across large, complex enterprise accounts
• Build long-term strategic customer transformation roadmaps that drive sustained professional services revenue while delivering measurable business outcomes
• Create proposals, secure customer sign-off on Statements of Work (SOWs), and ensure successful project delivery
• Collaborate with Amazon Global Sales (AGS) representatives to ensure a coordinated approach for key accounts
• Structure and negotiate deal models including fixed-price SOWs, outcome-based engagements, and delivery with partners
• Own executive relationships: build deep, trust-based partnerships at C-suite and VP levels
• Monitor ongoing projects to ensure delivery of agreed Customer Business Outcomes and maximize revenue potential
• Work with AWS Partners (SIs, ISVs) to structure partner co-delivery models that scale reach
• Educate customers on AWS services and translate those into clear business value propositions

A day in the life

You spend your time where it matters most: with customers and closing deals.

• Meeting with automotive OEM and manufacturing executives to discover transformation priorities (connected vehicles, smart factories, GenAI, supply chain digitization) and shape opportunities
• Building and defending proposals, negotiating SOWs, and driving complex deals through multi-stakeholder approval processes
• Collaborating with your account team to align ProServe pursuits with the broader AWS relationship strategy
• Working with AWS Partners (SIs, ISVs) to structure partner co-delivery models that scale your reach
• Supporting pipeline reviews, updating forecasts, and planning future quarter pursuit strategies
• Staying connected to in-flight engagements to ensure CBO delivery and identify expansion opportunities

This is a customer-facing role requiring regular travel across the EMEA region.

About the team

8+ years of IT consulting, management consulting, or professional services sales experience in customer-facing roles

Experience working with large enterprise organizations as the consulting services lead, delivering business transformation projects, and owning a bookings/revenue target

Experience in account engagement and management, including identifying, developing, and executing complex transactions

Demonstrated ability to establish relationships with C-Suite executives and translate cloud computing into a core business enabler

Experience managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT programs

Fluency in English and German (written and verbal)BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in management of large, complex enterprise accounts or equivalent
• Experience with end-customer sales in the cloud or software industry and a successful track record with consulting or technology partners through account management, program management, and business development
• Speak, write, and read fluently in German and English at C1 level or above
• Experience in technology-related sales, business development, or sales engineering/consulting in the IT industry, such as Cloud, SaaS, Analytics, Mobile or eCommerce

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects
• Experience working in the Automotive and/or Manufacturing industry in a sales, business development or partner capacity
• Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent
• Experience influencing innovation through a partner ecosystem with either solutions or programs that have demonstrated success at enterprise customers
• Advanced degree, or MBA

- cloud certification like AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect - Associate

• Experience selling AI/ML solutions
