Central Orthodontics is seeking an enthusiastic, highly skilled and motivated Specialist Orthodontist to join our long-standing orthodontic practice.
This is an exciting opportunity for an orthodontist looking for a flexible part-time position across our Bearwood and Tamworth practices, with opportunities to provide both NHS and private orthodontic care.

About the Role
The successful candidate will play a leading clinical role in delivering a high-quality NHS and private orthodontic service.
Responsibilities will include referral triage, orthodontic consultations, assessments, treatment planning, prescribing and the provision of specialist-led treatment for NHS and private patients.
You will work closely with orthodontic therapists, dental nurses, referring clinicians and the wider management team to ensure an efficient, collaborative and patient-focused service.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the clinical service, support team development and help maintain a positive, high-performing clinical culture.
Key Responsibilities
Undertaking orthodontic consultations, assessments and treatment planning.
Providing high-quality NHS and private orthodontic treatment.
Triage and assessment of incoming orthodontic referrals.
Prescribing, supervising and reviewing treatment delegated to orthodontic therapists.
Maintaining accurate, comprehensive and contemporaneous clinical records.
Supporting clinical governance, audit and quality improvement initiatives.
Working collaboratively with referring dentists and other healthcare professionals.
Supporting the development and growth of the private orthodontic service.
Providing clinical leadership, mentoring and guidance to the wider clinical team where appropriate.
Essential Requirements
Full registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
Inclusion on the GDC Specialist List in Orthodontics and/or recognised Consultant status.
Appropriate professional indemnity.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
NHS performer-list inclusion.
Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
A strong commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork and ongoing professional development.
