This is not a basic front-end or theme-tweaking design role. We are looking for an developer who thrives on back-end logic, secure networking, cloud infrastructure, and complex API integrations. If you love containerizing environments, managing secure networks, and making disparate systems talk to each other flawlessly, this is for you.
This is a 100% remote contract/casual role with competitive hourly pay in AUD, working during AEST business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure \& Containerization: Deploy, manage, and optimize applications using Docker and secure network overlays like Tailscale.
- Cloud \& Storage Management: Architect and maintain secure object storage solutions utilizing Amazon S3 and Cloudflare R2/Buckets, along with DNS and edge networking.
- API \& Systems Integration: Build and maintain robust, custom API integrations connecting web technologies, CRMs, and internal systems.
- Smart Automation \& Local Systems: Develop and configure integrations for smart automation platforms, including Home Assistant ecosystems, where required.
Required Skills \& Qualifications:
- Tech Stack Mastery: Deep understanding of backend programming languages, RESTful/GraphQL APIs, and server administration.
- DevOps \& Cloud Fundamentals: Practical experience with Docker container management, Tailscale configurations, Cloudflare, and AWS.
- Communication: Exceptional fluent written and spoken English. You must be comfortable explaining technical architecture clearly over video calls.
- Availability: Fully available for regular team syncs and emergency patches during standard AEST business hours.
Pay: $30.00 – $60.00 per hour
