As the company continues to enhance its digital products, we are seeking a talented Software Engineer to help build secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions.

About the Role

As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain software applications that support SelfWealth’s trading and wealth management platforms. You will work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver reliable technology solutions that enhance customer experiences and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and platform features
• Build and enhance APIs, backend services, and user-facing applications
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following engineering best practices
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver new functionality
• Participate in system architecture, technical design, and code reviews
• Troubleshoot software issues and optimise application performance
• Implement security, scalability, and reliability standards across systems
• Support cloud-based infrastructure and deployment processes
• Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives
• Create and maintain technical documentation

Skills \& Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience developing software applications in a commercial environment
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Go, or Kotlin
• Knowledge of databases including SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
• Experience with API development and system integrations
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Understanding of software testing, debugging, and version control (Git)
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience working within Agile development environments is highly regarded
