Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
- Design, develop, modify and maintain web-based and client/server applications.
- Develop and maintain application code in accordance with system requirements, technical specifications and software development standards.
- Develop and maintain databases using MySQL, SQL and related database technologies, including database configuration and integration.
- Develop and maintain web applications using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Design, develop, test and deploy software applications across development, testing and production environments.
- Work with AWS and Azure cloud services, including infrastructure, virtual machines, databases, networking and deployment services.
- Configure and manage AWS services, and support cloud-based application environments.
- Work with Azure services.
- Use Git/GitHub for source control, branching, merging and collaborative software development.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps processes.
- Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP-based web services and integrate applications with external systems.
- Conduct debugging, troubleshooting, impact analysis and technical investigation to identify and resolve application issues.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated professional experience in software development and application engineering.
- Strong experience with Web API and MVC.
- Experience with SQL/MySQL databases and database-driven applications.
- Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
- Experience using Git/GitHub and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Experience developing, testing and deploying web-based applications.
- Knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle processes and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with software testing, defect management and application troubleshooting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with developers, testers, designers, product managers and business stakeholders.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience with Apache Tomcat or similar application servers.
- Knowledge of SQL, MongoDB.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AppDynamics and Splunk.
- Experience with automation and testing tools such as Selenium, UFT, Perfecto or SeeTest.
