Soft Landscaper

We are a well-established company specialising in the design, installation and maintenance of Showhome gardens and landscapes for a number of new-build housing developers. Due to our growing client base and increased demand for our services, an opportunity has arisen to join our installation team, helping to deliver outstanding landscaped projects.

The role offers the chance to work in a friendly team of two or three, travelling to a range of sites to help install interesting and diverse landscaped schemes. You can expect plenty of variety from week to week and high levels of job satisfaction at the end of each assignment.

Main resposibilites would include:

• Selecting equipment and materials for the days work and driving to site in Northants, Beds, Cambs, Herts or Essex.
• Setting out mature shrubs \& trees and planting them, to create instant landscapes.
• Preparing ground and laying turf.
• Laying mulch over shrub beds.
• Installation of selected landscape features, such as sleeper beds, timber garden structures, water features, patio areas and pathways etc.
• As an experienced Soft Landscaper, you should work effectively as part of a team, be well-presented and polite, pay particular attention to detail and strive to deliver the highest standards at all times, taking pride in your work.

Experience and qualifications essential for this role are:

• FULL DRIVING LICENCE (essential)
• Working knowledge of all necessary equipment/machinery/tools
• Experience in a similar role with ability to carry out tasks independently
• Knowledge of health \& safety on site

Other desirable qualifications include:

• CSCS Certification
• Shrub/Plant knowledge
• Trailer towing licence

As a full-time, permanent member of the team, you will work a 42.5 hour basic week, with regular additional overtime and can expect

• A competitive daily rate of pay, dependant on experience and qualifications.
• Enhanced overtime rate on all hours exceeding 42.5hrs per week.
• 28 days annual holiday (with additional for longer term service).
