Axil Coffee Roasters is an established specialty coffee and hospitality group with 17 café and kitchen venues across Melbourne and Sydney, offering seasonal food and drink, breakfast, brunch, lunch and dine-in café experiences.

Beyond its venue network, Axil Coffee Roasters also runs a Hawthorn roastery and provides retail products, subscriptions, wholesale supply, office coffee solutions, barista training, catering, coffee van hire and event space hire. The brand has developed an integrated business model combining sourcing, roasting, café dining, wholesale partnerships, training and event services.

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Social Media Specialist (Content Marketing) to join the Axil Coffee Roasters team. This role is responsible for planning, creating and managing engaging social media and digital content that supports the Axil Coffee Roasters brand, venue promotions, product offerings, campaigns and customer engagement.

Main Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement social media and content marketing plans to promote Axil Coffee Roasters’ café locations, specialty coffee products, retail range, training courses, wholesale services, catering and event services.

2. Create and publish engaging written, photo and video content across Axil Coffee Roasters’ website and verified digital channels, including Instagram, Facebook, Eurostaffs, TikTok and YouTube, covering brand content, product features, venue promotions, short-form videos and marketing copy.

3. Plan and schedule the release of digital content to support brand promotions, product launches, retail campaigns, corporate services and event-based marketing activities.

4. Adapt content formats, copywriting style and visual presentation for different platformsand target audiences to strengthen engagement and brand consistency.

5. Manage the company’s social media presence, including daily posting, audience engagement, comments, direct messages and community interaction.

6. Monitor and analyse social media, website and campaign performance, including audience growth, engagement, reach, website traffic and conversion indicators, and prepare reports with recommendations.

7. Research social media trends, audience interests, competitor content and hospitality andspecialty coffee industry developments to improve content strategy and campaigneffectiveness.

Skills and Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in marketing, communications, media, digital marketing, journalism or a closely related field.

2. At least 3 years of relevant experience in social media marketing, content marketing, digital content creation or media production.

3. Proven ability to create, edit and publish written, photo and video content for websites, social media platforms and digital channels.

4. Strong writing and content planning skills, including captions, headlines, short posts, marketing copy and content scheduling.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
