Job Description

Minor Hotels is seeking an experienced and creative Social Media Manager to lead the social strategy for our iconic Oaks Hotels, Resorts \& Suites and Avani Hotels brands across Australasia.

This role will shape how our brands show up across social platforms, driving audience growth, engagement, brand awareness and commercial outcomes through innovative content and strategic thinking.

This is a rare opportunity for someone who can think strategically, create compelling content, identify emerging trends and build social communities that genuinely connect with audiences.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of PR \& Communications, you'll own the end-to-end social media strategy across multiple hotel brands, ensuring each brand maintains a distinctive and engaging presence while supporting broader marketing and commercial objectives.

You'll work closely with Brand, PR, Creative, Commercial and hotel teams to develop social-first campaigns, create engaging content and identify opportunities to grow our audience across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and emerging platforms.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the social media strategy across the Minor Hotels Australasian portfolio.
• Develop content calendars aligned to campaigns, business priorities and audience insights.
• Capture and produce social-first photography and video content across our hotel portfolio.
• Shoot and edit Reels, TikToks and short-form video content.
• Manage daily publishing and community engagement across key channels.
• Identify new trends, creators and platform opportunities to keep our brands culturally relevant.
• Analyse performance data and provide insights that drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, agency partners and hotel teams across Australia and New Zealand.

Qualifications We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with big brands and understands how to build and protect brand equity.
• Comes from either a corporate marketing team or a social-led creative agency environment.
• Has a proven track record of translating brand voice into engaging social-first content.
• Can develop strategy and still get "on the tools" to shoot, edit and produce compelling content.
• Has a deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and emerging social platforms.
• Is passionate about content, storytelling, social trends and audience engagement.
• Is highly organised, creative and comfortable managing multiple brands simultaneously.
• Has experience using content creation and editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
• Enjoys travel and is excited by the opportunity to visit hotels across Australasia to capture content.
