Overview

We are seeking a social media content creator to join our amazing cat sanctuary team! Some of the main qualities that we are looking for include:

  • Practiced, talented, and aspiring photographer
  • Phone videographer (most important skill)
  • Someone who understands how to tell a visual story by capturing pieces of the action!

No editing or posting of content needed, we've got the crew to make that happen!

What we do need is someone with easy access to the East side of the Big Island who can go in person to work with our caretakers and team to capture what's happening, so they can keep their hands and energy focused on the kitties.

Our main content creator lives a couple of hours away, and is hoping to work with someone who can step in and get some amazing content to help us continue to build our online presence and reach our community with the incredible stories and work we see behind the scenes every single day.

Images and video are an incredibly powerful way we reach our community, near and far. And the more people we can reach, the more we can help. In this role, you will craft compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences, boost engagement through creative storytelling, and elevate our digital marketing efforts. Your passion for social media trends will drive awareness and foster meaningful relationships with our community. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our digital voice and contribute to our vibrant story.

Duties

  • Develop engaging content strategies tailored to various social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Conduct social listening to monitor conversations around our brand, competitors, and industry trends to inform content creation and engagement tactics.
  • Collaborate with our social media director to align content with branding guidelines, SEO best practices, and campaign objectives.
  • Analyze web analytics and social media metrics via Google Analytics and platform insights to measure campaign performance and optimize future content.

Experience

  • Proven experience in social media management and digital marking roles with a strong portfolio of successful content campaigns
  • Knowledge of SEO principles, keyword research, web analytics, and social listening tools to maximize content reach.
  • Strong understanding of branding strategies, relationship management, and public relations within digital spaces.
  • Ability to analyze data from Google Analytics and platform insights to inform strategic decisions.

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
