Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair all electrical, electronic, pneumatic and instrumentation used in process equipment and utilities.
  • Carry out preventive and breakdown services for all equipment and instruments to the required Company standards and procedures in a safe, efficient, responsible and cost-effective manner.
  • Perform routine and non-routine instrument calibration (FT, LT, TT, PT and other instruments) in accordance with plant instruments calibration schedule.
  • Perform advance troubleshooting of various type of Motors, VFD, MCC and etc. with supervision.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and good housekeeping is maintained at all times.
  • Coach and mentor junior technicians on preventive and breakdown maintenance.
  • Document, check and record all completed maintenance and repair works, for Engineer review.
  • Take personal responsibility for quality in all aspects of maintenance work on process equipment that will have impact on product quality.
  • Assist the Senior/E\&I Engineer in co-ordinating with the Contractors undertaking contract works for the Company, to check that standards set by the company are met.
  • Familiar with and comply to Standard Operating Procedures, Good Engineering Practice, GMP to carry out maintenance activities to high quality standards.
  • Authorise Confine Space entry and Work at Height permit to work
  • Participate and contribute to site continuous performance and improvement program.
  • Stand-in and assist in any other engineering activities as and when required.
  • Play a pro-active role in ensuring the HSE standards \& Life Savings Rule are adhered to.
  • Embraced Zero Incident Mindset and adopt the responsible of HSE protection policies and Life Saving Rules (LSR). Practice safe engineering operation and ensure all HSE procedures are followed.

About you

  • NITEC or Higher NITEC in Electrical or Electronics related field with 5 years of relevant hands-on experience and basic technical knowledge of plant equipment, main switchboard, PLCs, instrumentation and calibration, electrical troubleshooting, and general operations and maintenance; Diploma holders will require at least 4 years of similar experience
  • Able to demonstrate electronic engineering knowledge and understanding of safe working practices in fine chemical, petroleum or pharmaceutical industries
  • Dependable team player
  • Possession of PUB Electrician License and project exposure are desirable
  • Certified Class 2 Boiler Attendance Certification will be advantageous
  • This role requires the incumbent to perform shift work in accordance with operational needs, and in compliance with applicable employment regulations.
