We are looking for an experienced Site Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on site experience in quantity take-offs, BOQ, measurements, valuations, variations, and cost control. Current Bahrain construction listings commonly emphasize these responsibilities for site/QS roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site measurements and verify completed quantities.
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates.
- Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
- Monitor project quantities, costs, materials, and wastage.
- Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and progress claims.
- Evaluate variations, change orders, and additional works.
- Review subcontractor measurements, quotations, and payment applications.
- Assist with subcontractor and supplier evaluations.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
- Maintain records of quantities, measurements, variations, and commercial documents.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Assist with final accounts, cost reports, and commercial documentation.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
- Strong site-based construction experience.
- Experience in building, villa, residential, commercial, or high-rise projects is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, site measurement, valuations, variations, and cost control.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Good knowledge of construction materials, labour rates, and local pricing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; QS/estimation software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Bahrain/GCC construction experience is required/preferred.
- Must be currently available in Bahrain.
- Immediate joiner is highly preferred.
