Site Manager – Auckland Turf

As part of our Turf business, we supply premium turf and amenity products across New Zealand and work closely with customers, suppliers and industry partners to deliver outstanding service and operational excellence.

We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Site Manager to lead our Auckland Turf operation. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for site operations, warehousing, inventory management, customer service, compliance, and team leadership.

About the Role

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and optimising the Auckland Turf site to deliver safe, compliant and customer-focused supply chain outcomes. The site operates as an MPI Transitional Facility, warehouse and retail environment, requiring strong operational leadership and attention to compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, coaching and developing the onsite team
• Ensuring efficient warehouse, inventory and dispatch operations
• Managing Auckland Turf’s MPI Transitional Facility requirements and biosecurity compliance
• Driving health, safety and wellbeing outcomes across the site
• Managing stock integrity, inventory accuracy and forecasting activities
• Coordinating site maintenance, contractors and facility requirements
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence
• Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Delivering a positive team culture aligned with company values.

About You

You will be an experienced operational leader with the ability to balance people leadership, customer focus and operational performance.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within warehousing, logistics, distribution or supply chain operations
• Strong people leadership skills with experience developing and supporting teams
• Experience managing health, safety and compliance requirements in an operational environment
• Sound understanding of inventory management, warehousing processes and supply chain operations
• Excellent planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capability
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and inventory or warehouse management systems
• The ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong communication with remote stakeholders
• A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to delivering results.
