Site Engineer - Facade

Job Summary:

The Facade Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring

all facade-related works to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved shop

drawings, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules. The role covers

GRC works, glass balustrades, aluminum curtain walls, external painting, and stone

cladding installations.

Engineering-Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 8–12 years of experience in facade and external envelope works.

Experience in GRC, glass balustrades, curtain walls, stone cladding, and external finishing

works.

Strong knowledge of facade systems, waterproofing, and installation methodologies.

Aluminum Curtain Wall \& Glazing Works

1. Providing work front for Aluminum works,

2. Monitor fabrication, delivery, and installation of curtain wall systems.

3. Ensure proper installation of aluminum frames, glass panels, sealants, and

waterproofing systems.

4. Coordinate site inspections and testing requirements.

5. Review and monitor mock-ups, water tests, and performance tests where

applicable

Glass Balustrade Works

1. Supervise installation of glass balustrades and handrails.

2. Ensure compliance with approved details, safety requirements, and structural

stability.

3. Verify glass specifications, fittings, anchorage systems, and alignment.

GRC (Glass Reinforced Concrete) Works

1. Monitor fabrication and installation of GRC panels.

2. Ensure proper alignment, fixing systems, joints, and structural supports.

3. Inspect quality, dimensions, finishing, and installation tolerances.

External Painting Works

1. Inspect surface preparation, primers, and finishing coats.

2. Monitor application procedures and compliance with manufacturer

recommendations.

3. Ensure color consistency, coating thickness, and quality standards.

Stone Cladding Works

1. Supervise installation of stone cladding systems.

2. Verify fixing methods, brackets, anchors, and support systems.

3. Ensure alignment, joint spacing, and finish quality meet project requirements.

Quality Control

1. Conduct regular inspections and prepare quality reports.

2. Raise and close snag lists related to facade works.

3. Coordinate consultant inspections and ensure timely approvals.

4. Ensure compliance with approved materials and installation procedures.

Planning \& Progress Monitoring

1. Monitor facades work progress against project schedules.

2. Identify delays and implement corrective actions.

3. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.

4. Coordinate material deliveries and workforce requirements.

Health, Safety \& Environment

1. Ensure all facade activities comply with project HSE requirements.

2. Monitor work-at-height activities and access systems.

3. Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices.
