Shorts Content Creator / Videographer — Vancouver

Overview

Android Authority (3.4M+ YouTube subscribers) and SoundGuys are building out our shorts team in Vancouver. You'll work directly with our Shorts Lead — shooting, editing, and publishing short-form video (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels) across our media brands.

This is a hands-on creator role: one week you're producing a vertical video review of the latest earbuds, the next you're shooting trade-show content and brand collaborations. Sponsored projects are also growing, but we're just as serious about the organic content that built our audience.

What you'll do

• Ideate, script, shoot and edit short-form video: product reviews, hands-on looks, opinion pieces, trade-show and event coverage, and more
• Create vertical-first (9:16) content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Reels — fast turnarounds, platform-native pacing
• Collaborate with the Shorts Lead on hooks, script writing, pacing, delivery, video editing, and what makes a concept actually work and find its audience
• Occasionally support longer-form YouTube and site video
• Work out of our Vancouver studio/office with access to gear

Who we are looking for:

• You shoot and edit short-form video already — a phone is fine!
• You're proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, etc.
• You’re comfortable being on camera and behind the camera
• You understand what is required of short-form content, different from long-form content (scripting, delivery, editing, etc).
• Vancouver-based or able to work from our Vancouver office/studio
• Team player, reliable, efficient, and comfortable with feedback — content goes out daily
• You have a portfolio or a body of work you've made in vertical content (yours, a brand's, a company’s – show us what worked)
• Bonus: experience with tech/product content, trade shows, or growing your own channel
