Shop Assistant/Cashier Volunteer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping customers find the right products. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring the shop is well-organised and stocked.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in selecting tickets.
• Utilise phone etiquette to handle customer inquiries effectively.
• Engage in selling techniques, including upselling additional products to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Maintain an organised shop environment by restocking shelves and ensuring displays are tidy.
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, providing clear information about products and promotions.
• Handle transactions accurately, employing basic maths skills for cash handling and sales processing.
• Requirements
• Weekend and midweek availability
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Previous experience in retail or customer service is beneficial but not essential.
• Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
• A friendly disposition with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
