Server/Cashier

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation and quality meet standards
• Process cash, credit card, and digital transactions accurately while handling cash safely
• Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including food handling and beverage service
• Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
• Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently
• Demonstrate knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation to educate guests and recommend pairings
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining or nightclub experience preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately
• Experience with beverage service including cocktails, wine knowledge, spirits handling, and drink presentation
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact positively with guests
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods while ensuring quality service
