Job Summary

HPE Non-Stop Systems Administrator / Support Engineer\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nRole Summary\\\\r\\\\nThe role is responsible for day-to-day administration, monitoring, support, and performance management of HPE NonStop (NS X Series) environments, including Base24 and BESS applications, replication, backup, storage, and security operations. The position supports production and DR environments, ensures system availability, compliance, and coordinates with application, data center, and security teams.\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nRequired Skills \& Technical Expertise\\\\r\\\\n• Experience with GoldenGate and DRNet replication tools\\\\r\\\\n• Understanding of Base24 and BESS applications\\\\r\\\\n• Experience with HPE NonStop NS X Series systems\\\\r\\\\n• Experience with BackBox application, VTC Backup tool, and StoreOnce storage\\\\r\\\\n• Knowledge of ViewPoint, WebViewPoint, and Splunk monitoring tools\\\\r\\\\n• Experience in system performance measurement, analysis, and utilization monitoring\\\\r\\\\n• Knowledge of HPE XP8 storage and related SAN switches\\\\r\\\\n• Knowledge of OSM tools and monitoring of hardware components\\\\r\\\\n• Knowledge of NonStop Software Essentials tools for system upgrades\\\\r\\\\n• Experience with XYPRO XYGATE and SafeCom security tools\\\\r\\\\n• Experience in job scheduling using NetBatch, backup and restore, PAK/UNPAK tools\\\\r\\\\n• Strong experience with NSK Subsystems, including but not limited to: \\\\r\\\\no TACL, SCF, SSHCOM, MEASURE, MEDIACOM, SPOOLCOM\\\\r\\\\no PERUSE, BATCHCOM, EMS, TMF\\\\r\\\\n________________________________________\\\\r\\\\nKey Responsibilities\\\\r\\\\n• Provide operational support for Base24 and BESS application users\\\\r\\\\n• Support Data Center teams for backup, restore, and job scheduling activities\\\\r\\\\n• Perform and troubleshoot backup and restore scripts\\\\r\\\\n• Support and manage GoldenGate and DRNet replication\\\\r\\\\n• Analyze daily and peak CPU utilization and coordinate with application teams\\\\r\\\\n• Manage HPE XP8 ESS storage, including external space allocation\\\\r\\\\n• Administer BackBox for system-wide backup and restore operations\\\\r\\\\n• Maintain and monitor the StoreOnce appliance\\\\r\\\\n• Perform daily system health checks using OSM tools for hardware components\\\\r\\\\n• Monitor system disks and free space, and proactively alert application teams\\\\r\\\\n• Verify EXPAND links connectivity between Production and DR systems\\\\r\\\\n• Review EMS system logs for abnormal or critical messages\\\\r\\\\n• Continuously monitor systems via ViewPoint and WebViewPoint\\\\r\\\\n• Handle incidents and issues reported by operations staff\\\\r\\\\n• Monitor database replication for Base24 and BESS systems\\\\r\\\\n• Review DRNet EMS messages, troubleshoot, and resolve reported issues\\\\r\\\\n• Manage user access across NonStop systems\\\\r\\\\n• Coordinate with corporate security teams on compliance requirements, including: \\\\r\\\\no MFA enforcement\\\\r\\\\no Audit log integration with enterprise SIEM systems\\\\r\\\\n• Perform monthly payroll-related system activities\\\\r\\\\n________________________________________\\\\r\\\\nCertifications (Good to Have)\\\\r\\\\n• HPE NonStop certifications\\\\r\\\\n• Compute and Storage–related certifications

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for Base24 and BESS application users

• Perform daily system health checks using OSM tools for hardware components

• Verify EXPAND links connectivity between Production and DR systems

• Continuously monitor systems via ViewPoint and WebViewPoint
• Handle incidents and issues reported by operations staff

Skill Requirements

• Experience with GoldenGate and DRNet replication tools
• Understanding of Base24 and BESS applications
• Experience with HPE NonStop NS X Series systems
• Experience with BackBox application, VTC Backup tool, and StoreOnce storage
• Knowledge of ViewPoint, WebViewPoint, and Splunk monitoring tools
