We are seeking an experienced (Senior) Translation Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of clinical document translations in a highly regulated global environment. This role will partner closely with Medical Writing teams, business stakeholders, and translation service providers to ensure high-quality, compliant, and timely translations while driving innovation through AI-enabled translation technologies.
What You Will Do:
You will manage day-to-day project and programme management activities, supporting your team to deliver quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end management of clinical document translation projects, ensuring quality, compliance, budget adherence, and on-time delivery.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, medical writers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and external translation vendors.
- Coordinate translation requirements, project planning, resource allocation, and execution from project initiation through completion.
- Monitor translation timelines, budgets, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance requirements across multiple concurrent projects.
- Provide expert project management support to clinical teams, including risk assessment, scope management, and vendor oversight.
- Drive the implementation, optimization, and governance of AI-enabled translation platforms and translation management tools.
- Review, evaluate, and continuously improve AI-generated translation outputs, collaborating with technology and development teams to enhance performance and efficiency.
Your Profile:
You will have solid project management experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and develop your team.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in clinical/regulatory document translation or bilingual quality control and 2 years in translation project management.
- Strong knowledge of clinical and regulatory documentation, including Protocols, Investigator’s Brochures (IB), Clinical Study Reports (CSR), and CTD clinical summaries.
- Demonstrated expertise in project planning, scheduling, risk management, budget management, and vendor management within a regulated environment.
- Hands-on experience with CAT tools, translation memory (TM), terminology management, QA tools, and AI-enabled translation platforms.
- Strong understanding of data protection, document control practices, compliance requirements, and translation quality standards.
- Business-level proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while collaborating effectively across global, multicultural teams.
