About the Role

We are seeking a data-driven and strategic Senior SEO Specialist to lead organic search strategy across our core digital portfolios in Croydon. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end SEO execution, driving technical SEO audits, strategic content optimization, link building, and authority growth to maximize organic visibility and revenue.

Working alongside performance marketing leads, web developers, and content creators, you will turn organic search analytics into actionable growth roadmaps across competitive search landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical SEO \& Site Audits: Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits (crawl budget, indexability, core web vitals, site architecture, and structured data/schema) and work directly with web engineering teams to deploy fixes.
• Keyword Research \& Content Strategy: Lead keyword research and search intent mapping to inform content gaps, landing page optimization, and editorial calendars.
• On-Page \& Off-Page Optimization: Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, internal link structures, and content hierarchies while executing ethical link-acquisition and digital PR outreach strategies.
• Performance Analytics \& Reporting: Track organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversion metrics, and ROI using tools like Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
• Algorithm \& Competitor Monitoring: Continuously monitor search engine algorithm updates, industry trends, and competitor search footprints to proactively adapt organic growth strategies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with UX designers, copywriters, and paid media teams to ensure integrated multi-channel digital campaigns.

Requirements \& Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on organic search/SEO experience in an agency or client-side e-commerce/B2B environment.
• Tooling Expertise: Mastery of industry-standard SEO platforms and crawlers (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4, Sitebulb).
• Technical Proficiency: solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript framework implications on SEO, schema markup, and canonical implementation.
• Analytical Skills: Proven ability to synthesize complex data into clear, commercial performance reports for non-technical stakeholders.
• Location: Must be able to reliably commute to our Croydon office (CR0 postcode area) for scheduled in-office collaboration days.
