Senior Resident Engineer – High-Rise Building Project

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Resident Engineer to lead the site supervision and construction management of a prestigious high-rise development in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules while acting as the Engineer's representative on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site supervision team, including Engineers, Inspectors, and specialist consultants.
• Act as the Consultant’s representative and primary point of contact between the Client, Contractor, and stakeholders.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, local authority regulations, and contractual requirements.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and contractor submissions.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are maintained.
• Review and certify contractor progress reports, payment applications, variation orders, and claims.
• Coordinate with design disciplines to resolve technical issues and ensure timely project delivery.
• Chair site meetings and prepare meeting minutes and action plans.
• Monitor project schedules and proactively identify and mitigate risks affecting project performance.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, utility authorities, and other regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members.

Qualifications \& Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Professional Engineering registration and relevant certifications are preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of overall experience in construction and site supervision.
• At least 10 years of experience as Resident Engineer or Senior Resident Engineer on high-rise building projects in the UAE.
• Proven experience supervising towers exceeding 30 stories.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract administration.
• Extensive experience in structural, architectural, and building services coordination.
• Excellent understanding of UAE construction regulations, authority requirements, and industry standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management and reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with leading engineering consultancy firms in the UAE.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
• Membership in recognized professional engineering institutions is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED30,000.00 - AED40,000.00 per month
