Senior QA Tester – Core Banking (Temenos T24)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior QA Tester with hands-on experience in Temenos T24 Core Banking to join our client's Technology team in Qatar.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of Core Banking applications by performing functional, regression, API, and automation testing while supporting critical banking initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, prepare and execute comprehensive test plans, test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, System and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Validate new developments, enhancements, interfaces and production fixes.
• Execute API testing using Postman and/or SoapUI.
• Perform manual and automation testing using Selenium, UFT or similar tools.
• Validate Core Banking transactions across T24 modules.
• Analyze defects, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and coordinate with development teams until closure.
• Review test documentation and ensure compliance with QA standards, SDLC and STLC methodologies.
• Support monthly releases, production deployments and post-release validation.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers and Project Managers during the software lifecycle.
• Participate in continuous process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Prepare QA reports and communicate testing progress to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of Software Testing experience, with at least 1 year in a similar banking QA role.
• Strong understanding of Temenos T24 Core Banking modules and interfaces.
• Experience in Core Banking Testing including:
• Customer Management
• Deposits
• Loans
• Accounts
• Payments
• Arrangement Architecture (AA)
• CIF
• Limits
• Experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Selenium
• HP UFT/QTP
• IBM Rational Integration Tester (RIT)
• Postman
• SoapUI
• Jenkins
• GitHub
• HP ALM / Quality Center
• Good SQL knowledge for backend validation.
• Basic Java knowledge and scripting experience are preferred.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.

Preferred Banking Knowledge

The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of:

• Islamic Banking concepts
• Temenos T24 Interfaces
• SWIFT messaging related to T24
• Banking operations and Core Banking workflows
• Banking regulations and compliance standards
• SDLC \& STLC methodologies
• Banking application integrations and interfaces

Key Responsibilities in the Banking Environment

The successful candidate will also be expected to:

• Ensure compliance with all QA policies, banking standards and regulatory requirements.
• Review QA templates and ensure adherence to system development lifecycle processes.
• Assess change requests and project enhancements from a quality perspective.
• Monitor and report QA issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external auditors and compliance departments when required.
• Review applications for functionality, performance and business compliance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Support testing across Core Banking, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking and integrated banking applications.
• Ensure quality and consistency across all IT applications supporting banking operations.
