Senior QA Tester

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Tester to join a dynamic Group IT team supporting digital products and enterprise applications within the aviation industry. You will play a key role in ensuring software quality across web, mobile, and backend systems by planning, designing, executing, and reporting comprehensive testing activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with Product Managers, Business Users, Developers, and Vendors to deliver high-quality digital solutions while supporting continuous improvements in software testing processes and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Software Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on business and functional requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Ensure all software releases meet quality standards before deployment.
• Evaluate, document, and report testing results, defects, and project status.
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing after issue resolution.

Mobile \& API Testing

• Perform end-to-end testing for mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms.
• Conduct backend API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Validate API requests, responses, authentication, and integrations.
• Verify data consistency between frontend applications and backend services.

Test Planning \& Defect Management

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, Business Users, and Vendors to define testing scope and schedules.
• Design detailed test scenarios and test cases based on project requirements.
• Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution.
• Ensure complete test coverage for new features, enhancements, and production fixes.

Test Automation \& Continuous Improvement

• Support the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and test frameworks.
• Assist in improving test automation coverage and testing efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA process.
• Identify opportunities to optimize testing methodologies and workflows.

Collaboration \& Project Support

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of quality software.
• Support production deployments and post-release validation activities.
• Provide technical guidance and testing best practices to project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
• Strong experience in:
• Test Planning
• Test Case Design
• Test Execution
• Defect Management
• Test Reporting
• Hands-on experience in Mobile Application Testing (Mandatory).
• Hands-on experience in Backend/API Testing using Postman or similar tools (Mandatory).
• Experience validating integrated APIs and backend services.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages for testing or automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and software release processes.
• Experience working in Agile and Waterfall software development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
