Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager (M\&E) leads the successful delivery of Mechanical \& Electrical projects from pre-construction to handover, ensuring projects meet safety, quality, budget, and schedule targets through strong leadership, technical coordination, and client management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the delivery of M\&E projects across commercial, hospitality, and complex fit-out environments to achieve project objectives
• Develop and execute project plans, including sequencing, procurement coordination, and site execution activities to ensure timely progress
• Coordinate interfaces among Mechanical, Electrical, ELV, Fire Protection, and specialist subcontractors to maintain seamless integration
• Oversee project programmes, manpower planning, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and meet deadlines
• Manage project cost control by monitoring progress claims, variations, and subcontractor performance to maintain budget compliance
• Ensure strict adherence to contract requirements, technical specifications, and statutory regulations throughout project lifecycle
• Lead technical coordination meetings with consultants, clients, and stakeholders to resolve issues and align project goals
• Identify and mitigate project risks, delays, and commercial exposures to safeguard project delivery
• Drive quality assurance, testing, commissioning, and handover processes to guarantee client satisfaction and operational readiness
• Support business development and tender teams during pre-construction and bid stages by providing technical and commercial insights

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 10–15 years’ experience in Mechanical \& Electrical project delivery roles
• Proven experience delivering complex commercial office, hospitality, or large-scale fit-out projects
• Demonstrated understanding of ACMV, Electrical, Fire Protection, Plumbing \& Sanitary, and ELV systems applied in project execution
• Experience managing subcontractors, project teams, and client relationships to achieve project targets
• Strong knowledge of project coordination, construction sequencing, and site management practices
• Ability to simultaneously manage programme, cost, and technical delivery to ensure project success
• Effective communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills to influence and drive project outcomes

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working within an M\&E contractor environment in Singapore or Southeast Asia
• Exposure to high-end commercial offices, hotels, healthcare, laboratories, or mission-critical facilities
• Familiarity with local authority requirements, testing \& commissioning procedures, and handover processes
• Experience in Design \& Build and fast-track project delivery environments
• Strong commercial awareness including variations, claims, procurement, and project forecasting
