Senior Planning Engineer

Position: Senior Planning Engineer

Qualifications \& Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or related discipline)

· Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction/engineering projects and Infrastructure

· Experience in Oman/GCC region is highly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain project schedules and baseline programs using Primavera P6/MS Project

· Monitor and control project progress, ensuring alignment with approved schedules

· Prepare and analyze project progress reports, dashboards, and KPIs

· Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely planning, execution, and delivery

· Identify potential delays and risks, and propose mitigation and recovery plans

· Manage cost control processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

· Review contractors’ schedules and ensure compliance with project requirements

· Support project management in decision-making through data analysis and reporting

Technical Requirements:

· Strong expertise in planning, scheduling, and project controls

· Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other planning tools

· Solid understanding of construction sequences, methodologies, and resource planning

· Knowledge of earned value management (EVM) and cost control techniques

· Familiarity with contract requirements (FIDIC or similar)

Coordination \& Leadership:

· Ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders

· Lead and manage planning engineers and project control teams

· Ensure proper integration between planning, cost, and procurement functions

Reporting \& Communication:

· Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients

· Present project status, risks, and forecasts clearly to stakeholders

· Strong communication and organizational skills
