Objectives of the Position

• To carry out the job scope as a field leader according to the safety instructions and working instructions under the supervision of his superior

Job Responsibilities

Related for EHS

• Ensures that all staffs / contractors always conduct the works based on the BASF’s SHE standard regulations
• Ensures that all logistics (loading / unloading) activities are in-line with BASF’s TDS (Transport and Distribution Safety) standard
• Participates and follows in the implementation of Safety, Health and Environment regulation and rules as company guideline in the working area as per ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• To ensure suitable PPE to be used based on the raw material procedures
• To enforce best safety practice on the field, which include PPE, safety equipment, 6S, etc

General

• To carry out the order from superior and distributing the daily jobs to junior operator.
• To take charge in managing duty roster within group and other groups.
• To carry out the works according to the best practice of raw material unloading, tankage area monitoring, sampling \& housekeeping
• To ensure field logsheets \& all relevant checklist to be filled in the correct and proper manner.
• As a trainer for junior field operator
• Responsible in backing up Production field operator whenever required

Incoming Raw Material

• Unloading raw material in bulk into raw material tank farm
• Taking sample and send to lab (bulk \& pack)

Taking sample from FG area (Warehouse) and FG Tank Farm

• Sample for customer
• Sample for bacteria test for delivery (relate to plant hygiene programme)

Monitoring Tank Farm

• Temperature
• Pump water out from tank farm area when raining
• Top up demin water in protego valve on the top off tank farm
• Monitor \& top up formaldehyde or H2O2 for humidifier pump
• Regular spray outlet of FG storage with H2O2 solvent (Plant Hygiene)

Monitoring Rest Product / Off Spec / Drain / Rinsing at Open Yard

• Daily movement reaord
• Transfer rest product for production use

6S activity at Tank Farm

• Keep clean \& tidy the flammable and non-flammable areas
• To ensure that operator’s activities will not disturn or cause any problem for the company and also the environment

Material delivering \& receiving

• Key gatekeeper for material receiving \& delivery in terms of weighing procedure, inspection, documentation \& communication
• Weighing incoming and outgoing flexibag (FG), Isotank (raw material \& FG) and scrap
• Contact driver for shunting, delivering of flexibag / Isotank, and pull out laden flexibag/Isotank
• Compiling document for Isotank and flexibag delivery
• Visual inspect incoming and outgoing flexibag / Isotank, sealing and take photo
• Report the laden Isotank / flexibag park in premises while waiting for ETD and port closing
• Prepare the unloading checklist for raw material

Qualifications

• Diploma in Technical Field
• Total 5 years experience in Chemical Process. Min 2 years experience in ED Plant is a must
• Knowledge in chmeical process and equipment as pump, valve, reactor, etc.
• Willing to be based in Pasir Gudang, Johor.
