Senior Network Engineer (Taiwan - Remote)

Location: Remote (Must be locally residing/based in Taiwan)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with On-call rotation support

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer based in Taiwan to design, implement, and manage our scalable data center network architectures across Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), hybrid/multi-cloud, and edge environments.

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting advanced networking solutions (BGP-VPN, EVPN, MPLS, Infiniband), automating infrastructure with tools like Ansible and Terraform, and ensuring high availability through robust operational support and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Center Architecture \& Cloud: Design, deploy, and manage scalable data center networks for VPCs, hybrid/multi-cloud, and edge network environments.
• Network Automation: Utilize tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Netbox to automate configuration, deployment, and ongoing network management.
• Advanced Protocol Management: Architect and maintain advanced network setups involving BGP-VPN, EVPN, MPLS, SD-WAN, DNS, IPv4/IPv6, VPN, Ethernet, and Infiniband.
• Component Support \& Troubleshooting: Provide in-depth troubleshooting for firewalls, switches, load balancers, spine/leaf architectures, Infiniband, and storage networking.
• Operational Excellence \& On-Call: Participate in on-call support rotations, network monitoring, failover procedures, and recovery plans to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
• Mentorship \& Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams and provide guidance and mentoring to junior network engineers.

Required Skills \& Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in data center-level network architecture, engineering, and troubleshooting.
• Location: Must be locally present/residing in Taiwan (Work-from-Home / Remote setup).
• Protocol Mastery: Deep, hands-on expertise with BGP-VPN, EVPN, MPLS, SD-WAN, DNS, IPv4/v6, VPN, Ethernet, and Infiniband.
• Network Automation: Demonstrated ability to automate network management using Ansible, Terraform, or custom automation tools (e.g., Netbox).
• Data Center \& Cloud: Proven experience managing spine/leaf topologies, firewalls, load balancers, storage networking, and hybrid/multi-cloud setups.
• Operations: Experience with operational approaches including network monitoring, on-call support, failover, and disaster recovery execution.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

• Certifications: Professional/Expert-level network or cloud certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Containerization \& Cloud Native: Familiarity with containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker) and cloud-native networking architectures.
• Observability: Experience using enterprise network performance monitoring tools and cloud-based management platforms.
