Job Summary
Avinash Hotels \& Hospitality Management W.L.L. is seeking an experienced and guest-focused Senior Hotel Operations Manager to lead daily hotel operations, service delivery, departmental coordination, and commercial performance in Doha.
This senior leadership role is suited to a hospitality professional with substantial experience in full-service hotels, luxury properties, serviced accommodation, or multi-department hotel operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the general manager and department heads to maintain high standards across front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, guest services, facilities, security, and operational administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day hotel operations and ensure consistent service across all guest-facing and support departments
- Coordinate front office, reservations, housekeeping, food and beverage, guest relations, maintenance, security, transport, and concierge activities
- Establish operating standards, service procedures, departmental objectives, and measurable performance expectations
- Monitor guest satisfaction, online reviews, service-recovery cases, complaints, and recurring operational issues
- Ensure guest concerns are resolved promptly, professionally, and in line with the hotel’s service standards
- Work with revenue, reservations, and sales teams to support occupancy, average daily rate, revenue per available room, and overall profitability
- Review departmental budgets, labour costs, purchasing, inventory, wastage, and operating expenses
- Monitor hotel KPIs, including occupancy, room readiness, guest satisfaction, service response times, payroll costs, and departmental productivity
- Conduct daily operational briefings, property inspections, departmental reviews, and management meetings
- Support forecasting, annual budgeting, business planning, and operational performance reporting
- Ensure rooms, public areas, restaurants, meeting spaces, leisure facilities, and back-of-house areas meet established presentation and cleanliness standards
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, asset care, life-safety systems, and facilities-improvement programmes
- Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, travel partners, corporate clients, event organisers, and hospitality service providers
- Support conferences, banquets, VIP stays, group arrivals, special events, and high-profile guest requirements
- Oversee emergency response, business continuity, incident management, evacuation procedures, and crisis coordination
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, licensing requirements, food safety, hygiene, security, and health and safety standards
- Recruit, coach, evaluate, and develop department heads, supervisors, and operational team members
- Build a service culture based on accountability, teamwork, professional conduct, and genuine guest care
- Identify opportunities to improve guest journeys, operational workflows, technology use, sustainability, and cost efficiency
- Act as the senior operational leader in the absence of the general manager when authorised
Requirements
- Significant experience in hotel operations, hospitality management, rooms division, guest services, or multi-department property leadership
- Previous responsibility for managing hotel departments, supervisors, budgets, service standards, and operational performance
- Strong knowledge of front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, reservations, guest relations, and facilities coordination
- Proven ability to improve guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, service quality, and financial performance
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, payroll, purchasing, costs, forecasts, and hotel KPIs
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to remain composed and provide clear direction during complaints, emergencies, VIP requirements, and high-occupancy periods
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple departments, shifts, events, and operational priorities
- Experience using property-management systems, point-of-sale systems, reservations platforms, guest-feedback tools, and hotel reporting software
- Familiarity with internationally recognised hotel standards or branded hospitality environments would be advantageous
- Strong command of written and spoken English; Arabic or additional language skills would be beneficial
- Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, although equivalent professional experience will be considered
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and rotating operational schedules when required
