We’re looking for an experienced Google Ads and SEO contractor to manage and grow our paid search and organic visibility across multiple websites and brand profiles. This is a hands-on role — you’ll be working directly with the business owner and will have real impact on revenue outcomes. The scope is across three active websites plus supporting Google Business Profile management.
This is an ongoing contract engagement. We’re not looking for an agency — we want an individual specialist who will own results.
Google Ads * Plan, build, and manage Google Search, Shopping, and Performance Max campaigns across multiple accounts * Conduct thorough keyword research and competitive analysis specific to our markets. * Write and test compelling ad copy aligned to each brand’s positioning. * Set up and manage conversion tracking via Google Tag Manager and GA4 * Optimise bidding strategies, Quality Scores, and ad extensions to maximise ROAS * Produce clear, regular reporting on spend, performance, and recommendations
SEO * Conduct technical SEO audits and implement fixes (site speed, indexability, schema, mobile) * AI Search and optimization for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews * Develop and execute on-page SEO strategies including metadata, content structure, and internal linking * Build and manage Google Business Profiles for multiple locations * Identify and pursue link-building opportunities relevant to our sectors * Track and report on keyword rankings, organic traffic, and local pack performance * Advise on content strategy to support organic growth
Essential: * Minimum 10 years of hands-on digital marketing experience across Google Ads and/or SEO (not agency-side account coordination — actual campaign ownership and results) * Proven SEO results with before/after evidence you can speak to * Proficiency in Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console * Experience managing Google Shopping campaigns and product feed optimisation * Strong analytical mindset — comfortable reading data and making decisions from it * Excellent written English for ad copy and reporting * Able to work autonomously and communicate proactively
