The Oral Health Information Systems team within the Centre for Oral Health Strategy has responsibility for the development and management of a range of critical performance reports and informational/analytical data collections systems that support NSW Oral Health's core service delivery, management, and strategic direction.
Data is collected from a range of systems, including Titanium, Unity, or EPIC Electronic Health Record systems and may also include other disparate systems. Our reporting landscape includes a variety of products such as Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI and AWS Snowflake among many other evolving platforms within NSW Health.

The Senior Business Analyst/Developer is a dual role that undertakes the review and analysis of the organisation's business intentions, services, processes, and information need to identify changes that lead to business improvements.
The role of the position provides both a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams so that the business stakeholder's requirements are clearly understood and successfully implemented in systems and related reporting frameworks, and a secondary function to support and develop data and analytical requests while undertaking routine reporting tasks as needed to ensure data deliverables are delivered on time. The key role is to capture specification requirements which describes business workflow, data collection, and application functionality to facilitate the development of performance reports to meet the needs of NSW Health's strategic goals. Health Manager Level 3 starting salary from $132,236 - $150,222 per annum plus Superannuation, with a 38-hour work week. What you will be doing Coordinate stakeholder consultation, needs assessment, solution design, and continuing engagement, to satisfy the operational requirements of internal and external stakeholders. * Elicit business and technical requirements using a broad range of effective engagement techniques specified to a sufficient level of detail to enable technical design and build. * Enhance business systems by providing accurate information about business needs and priorities and adopting contemporary analysis best-practice methodologies and processes. * Analyse and consolidate information to develop business cases to support the achievement of business objectives. * Develop and maintain a directory of state performance and activity reports, data assets, and respective documentation to meet the needs of NSW Health. About you:*
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with: Demonstrated technical capability in relation to Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI and Reporting Services, data warehousing, data visualization and automation techniques using popular industry software packages and relevant scripting or programming languages. * Extensive experience managing the review and analysis of complex ICT business processes and services in a large and complex service industry organisation, including relevant qualifications or equivalent. This includes demonstrated experience in improving business performance by adopting innovative business analysis solutions. * Extensive experience in analysing, working, testing, and maintaining service management systems as well as delivering project outcomes on time and to the expected levels of quality, including the demonstrated ability to identify and manage risks within a project. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, and subject matter experts. * At least 2 years’ experience as a Developer / Business Analyst, preferably with experience in a health setting.
