Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 CRM Developer to join our Transformation team and play a key role in supporting and evolving OSPRI's critical business applications.

Reporting to the Manager Applications and Products, you will own the development, support, maintenance and continuous improvement of OSPRI's Dynamics 365 and the wider Power Platform environment. This includes OOMS (OSPRI Operational Management System), our disease and testing management platform, and Support Centre CRM. You will also support integration, enhancement and change activities involving Business Central, working alongside functional owners and partners where deeper ERP expertise is required.

Working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and delivery partners, you will design and deliver robust, scalable solutions that support OSPRI's operational objectives. You'll contribute across the full development lifecycle, from solution design and development through to testing, implementation, troubleshooting and ongoing optimisation.

This role reflects Ka Tūtuki ā Mātou Mahi | We Deliver, ensuring critical platforms remain reliable and fit for purpose, and Kotahitanga | Stronger Together, collaborating with teams and partners to deliver technology solutions that create meaningful business value.

What success will look like:

  • Ensuring OOMS and Support Centre CRM remains stable, secure and fit for purpose
  • Planning, testing and implementing system updates and releases with minimal business disruption
  • Delivering defect fixes and enhancements to agreed standards and timelines, including improvements that reduce operational risk and automate manual processes
  • Developing solutions that align with architecture, security and supportability standards
  • Providing trusted technical guidance to business stakeholders, vendors and delivery partners, and fostering collaboration across teams
  • Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety and organisational values

You are a seasoned Dynamics 365 professional who enjoys solving complex problems and building practical solutions that make a real difference to the people using them. You combine strong technical expertise with a collaborative approach and can confidently engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You thrive in environments where you can balance technical support, enhancement work and project delivery. You are proactive, detail-oriented and committed to delivering secure, maintainable and high-quality solutions.

You naturally align with Ārahina e te Aronga | Purpose Led, understanding the impact technology can have on organisational outcomes, and Whakamana Tangata | Powered by People, working collaboratively to support colleagues and stakeholders to succeed.

You will bring:

  • At least five years’ experience delivering and supporting D365 CE/CRM and Power platform solutions in production environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 CE, Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse, including configuration, security, forms, business rules and solution management
  • Strong C#/.NET and JavaScript development skills
  • Experience developing plug-ins, custom APIs, Power Automate flows and integrations
  • Experience integrating Dynamics 365 with other business systems using Dataverse APIs, OData/REST and Azure integration services (e.g. Logic Apps, Functions)
  • Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) for Power Platform, including CI/CD pipelines, source control and Azure DevOps
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting business-critical systems, including incident management, upgrades, testing and releases
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams and external partners
  • Experience with advanced customisation techniques such as PCF components, TypeScript and custom web resources is desirable
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g. PL-400) and exposure to Dynamics 365 Business Central or ERP integrations are desirable

In return we offer:

  • A purpose-led organisation where values genuinely guide how we work
  • A supportive, inclusive and collaborative team environment
  • Work that contributes to New Zealand’s biosecurity and farming communities
  • Flexible working options
  • OSPRI days – paid leave between Christmas and New Year
  • Medical Insurance
  • Critical Illness, Trauma and Lifecare insurance
  • Wellbeing leave and a paid volunteer day
  • Study assistance and development opportunities
  • Ability to purchase additional annual leave
  • Eye care allowance
  • Parental/Partner’s leave benefits
