Job Description
Scope of the role
- Technically savvy with a keen interest in TV programmes and video content.
- Possess a keen understanding of local cultural norms, social sensitivities, and audience expectations to ensure content remains appropriate and aligned with regulatory standards.
- Able to vet general content (Children's/Sports/Lifestyle programmes) for IMDA Code compliance.
- Working experience with digital editing systems (Dalet/Adobe Premiere) is advantageous.
- Possess good English writing skills for effective communications with all stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines in a digital workspace.
- Dynamic and resourceful with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure and respond effectively to operational challenges in a fast-paced broadcast environment.
- To champion operational excellence by seamlessly integrating AI tools. Possess experience in AI driven solutions and automated workflows to drive content analysis and operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and prepare programmes in line with IMDA code compliance requirements for broadcast on Free-To-Air TV Channels and on mewatch. Exercise sound editorial judgment in identifying potentially sensitive, non-compliant, or high-risk content relating to language, violence, race, religion, social issues, and age suitability.
- Perform QC checks, enter accurate Media-logger (SOM/EOM) details and TXR programmes for broadcast.
- Liaise with the Technical Support team and resolve issues with the Dalet and craft editing systems
- Perform complex edits on the craft editing system (Adobe).
- Ensure strict adherence to the standard operating procedures for a consistently high-quality output
Qualifications
- Diploma in any discipline
- 3 to 5 years of working experience
- Relevant experience in programme editing will be a strong advantage
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet broadcast deadlines
- Technically savvy with a keen interest in programme editing
- Aware of local social and cultural sensitivities in our broadcast programmes
- Highly adaptable with a proactive mindset, capable of managing operational demands while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
