The project: This project offers the chance to join a talented Mace team in delivering a major entertainment and luxury hospitality project, collaborating with renowned architects and global consultants. The project involves extensive infrastructure and built assets, delivered rapidly through a hands-on construction management approach, ideal for those experienced in managing both main and subcontract packages.
The development includes complex utility infrastructure and networks, encompassing power, telecommunications, district cooling, water and wastewater systems, together with associated treatment and distribution facilities. The role is ideally suited to individuals with a strong background in major infrastructure programmes and utility-heavy developments.
The senior construction manager (electrical) will be responsible for overseeing the construction, installation, testing and commissioning of major utility and infrastructure packages across the project.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, construction oversight and stakeholder management throughout delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
You’ll be responsible for:
• Manage contractors and subcontractors undertaking utility, power and infrastructure works.
• Monitor construction progress against programme and drive recovery plans where required.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, regulatory approvals and industry standards.
• Coordinate interfaces between utility providers, contractors, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and operational readiness activities.
• Drive health, safety and environmental performance across all work fronts.
• Review construction methodologies, temporary works proposals and installation sequencing.
• Support risk identification, mitigation and resolution of site-related issues.
• Produce and present progress updates to senior project leadership.
You’ll need to have:
• A degree in electrical engineering.
• Extensive years of construction and infrastructure delivery experience.
• Experience in delivering different electrical infrastructure i.e., high-voltage and low-voltage power infrastructure, wet and dry utility networks, sewage treatment plants and district cooling plants and distribution networks
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, quality, and commissioning standards.
• Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
