As a Senior Assistant Financial Analyst (SAFA), you'll be part of a high-performing Financial Control team supporting Sky's business. Working closely with various Stakeholders, you'll help ensure we deliver accurate financials, strong controls, and meaningful insights that support better decision-making.

What you'll do"* Support the delivery of accurate, timely and well-controlled month-end results * Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, proactively identifying and resolving risks * Analyse financial performance and provide clear, insightful commentary * Partner with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to solve problems and improve outcomes * Support audit activity and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies * Contribute to continuous improvement, helping to simplify processes and enhance reporting * Get involved in finance transformation initiatives, including new systems and ways of working

Essential criteria:""* Experience in a Finance or Accounting role * Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals (e.g. accruals, prepayments, reconciliations) * Experience supporting month-end close or similar processes * Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data * Ability to work within a controlled environment, with a focus on accuracy and governance
Desirable skills and experience:"* Studying towards (or interested in studying) a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) * Experience with finance systems such as SAP or OneStream * Exposure to working in a large, fast-paced organisation * Experience supporting audits or working within a strong controls environment * Involvement in process improvement or transformation initiatives * Experience working with or partnering non-finance teams

How you'll work "
We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 2 days in the office per week. "
