Senior Architect

We're looking for a Senior Architect to join our Kier Design team based in nationwide. Kier Design are a highly regarded Tier 1 Contractor, with a 750 plus strong design consultancy team, recognised as a Top 30 employer on Eurostaffs.

Location: Nationwide

Hours: Full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Salary: starting from £40,000

Are you…

• A qualified Architect with excellent design capabilities and technical detailing skills
• Experience in Blue Light, Defense, Health and Education projects
• Experienced in team management with a hands-on, immersive approach
• Knowledgeable across all sectors of the RIBA Plan of Work 2013
• Proficient in Contract Administration, Site Supervision, Project Management and CDMC regulations
• Highly competent in using REVIT, BIM and relevant CAD software packages

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Architect, you'll be working within the Kier Design team, supporting them in delivering technical excellence in design across diverse projects. You'll be running projects on site demonstrating competence at all stages of the RIBA Plan of Work, whilst directing team members and providing audit and quality assurance support. This role offers the chance to drive design strategy and expand our architectural offering to both internal and external clients.

Your day to day will include:

• Leading substantial and complex projects, managing and co-ordinating others to ensure effective delivery of work programmes
• Taking responsibility for the commercial performance of projects under your control and preparing resource schedules to match workload forecasts
• Participating in detailed design processes, preparing and presenting concept and detailed drawings, and co-ordinating design information
• Administering a range of contracts including JCT and NEC suites, and evaluating environmental, legal and regulatory issues
• Contributing to commercial bids, leading local and national bids, networking to generate opportunities and promoting the business at external events
