What will your day look like?

As our new Senior Application Consultant (SFMC), you will play a pivotal technical lead role within our development and consultancy teams. You will deal with complex, moving pieces and lead the creation of highly efficient, scalable marketing campaign solutions for global brands. You will bridge the gap between technology and high-level marketing strategy, working directly with senior client stakeholders to translate complex business objectives into robust SFMC technical architectures.

In addition to hands-on configuration and technical execution, you will serve as a subject matter expert and mentor, guiding cross-functional delivery teams and ensuring technical solutions align with overarching client goals.

More specifically, your tasks include:

• Leading cross-functional collaboration across operations, product, and client teams to ensure seamless enterprise delivery and long-term client success.
• Championing the strategic adoption and expansion of Catalyst tools across our global client base, architecting tailored end-to-end solutions.
• Streamlining complex client operations by designing and configuring advanced business logic, custom scripts (SSJS/AMPscript), and automated workflows in SFMC.
• Translating complex client requirements into scalable technical specifications, architecture blueprints, and data models.
• Establishing quality assurance and testing standards to guarantee the reliability of complex configurations, custom code, and new platform features.
• Serving as a primary point of technical escalation to troubleshoot and resolve high-level application issues across SFMC environments.
• Leading requirements-gathering workshops with senior client marketers to translate business objectives into advanced technical solutions.
• Managing complex data architecture, SQL queries, and audience segmentation while ensuring data integrity, governance, and security.
• Mentoring and upskilling junior Application Consultants and Specialists, fostering technical excellence across the team.
• Proactively identifying opportunities to enhance and optimize the Catalyst platform and its features for enterprise clients.

Who are you going to work with?

You will join a senior team of developers, technical architects, data specialists, product managers, and project managers who are passionate about building enterprise products and customer experiences. You will also work closely with Client Partners, Solutions Architects, and client C-suite/technical leadership.

You analyse problems pragmatically and take a big-picture consulting approach, actively advising clients and internal teams on technical best practices.

In addition, you have:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) across Journey Builder, Automation Studio, AMPscript, SSJS, and custom API integrations.
• Deep, proven expertise in Marketing Operations, including advanced marketing automation setups and enterprise lifecycle marketing frameworks.
• Extensive track record of designing, building, and optimizing complex, multi-channel customer journeys and trigger-based marketing programs.
• Advanced client-facing consultancy skills, with proven ability to lead technical workshops, manage executive expectations, and adapt to diverse client ways of working.
• Strong technical proficiency in JavaScript, SSJS, AMPscript, and HTML/CSS for building custom solutions inside marketing automation platforms.
• Advanced data management expertise, including complex SQL querying, audience segmentation, data validation, and governance.
• Demonstrated experience acting as a technical lead, mentoring junior team members, and driving quality standards across projects.
