This role represents an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong actuarial background to join the Capital Solutions Pricing team at Pacific Life Re.
Reporting to the Manager, Capital Solutions Pricing, this role offers a challenging variety of work, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the continued development of the Capital Solutions business and the wider PL Re organisation. The role requires a strong understanding of actuarial and financial concepts, and the ability to analyse and clearly communicate new concepts.
The Capital Solutions Pricing team is responsible for assessing the risk profile of each transaction, proposing appropriate pricing to reflect that risk, and supporting decision‑making around deal structuring. Given the ongoing development of new structures across multiple global markets, this role will contribute to establishing processes, best practices, and pricing frameworks across a wide range of products, risks, and regulatory regimes.
This is a varied role within a small team with a broad international remit. We are seeking a Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary with a proven track record in an actuarial role with a focus on analysis. Prior experience in a dedicated pricing or structured solutions role is not essential; however, a strong understanding of risk assessment, pricing processes, and/or insurance balance sheets would be advantageous.
