Job Summary:

Prosegur Singapore is seeking a diligent and experienced Security Officer (SO) to join our team on Jurong Island. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by patrolling, monitoring surveillance equipment, and enforcing regulations. This role requires a vigilant individual with a strong understanding of security protocols and the ability to respond effectively to various situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of the assigned area to ensure the security of premises, assets, and personnel.
• Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels to detect any suspicious activities or security breaches.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, providing initial assessment and action.
• Control access to the facility, verifying identities and authorizing entry according to established procedures.
• Enforce company policies and site-specific regulations, ensuring compliance from all individuals within the premises.
• Prepare detailed incident reports, documenting all observations, actions taken, and outcomes.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Provide assistance and directions to visitors and employees as needed.
• Perform crowd control duties during special events or emergencies.
• Operate and maintain security equipment, including radios, identification scanners, and other relevant tools.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
• Ensure a high level of alertness and vigilance at all times.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and protocols, particularly those relevant to the Jurong Island industrial environment.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor or Management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role.
• Possession of a valid Security Personnel License (SPL) issued by the relevant authorities.
• Must have completed the Basic Security Training (BST) or equivalent certification.
• Strong understanding of security operations, surveillance techniques, and emergency response procedures.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and respond to emergencies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using security equipment, including CCTV systems and access control devices.
• Familiarity with the industrial environment of Jurong Island is an advantage.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
• A clean criminal record.
