ScienceLab Technician
The Services required are set out asfollows:
a. Temperaturetaking of students (when required;
b. Stock-takingand inventory management of teaching resources;
c. Collectionand management of food waste for the school's recycling programme;
d. Preparationand organisation of teaching materials and learning resources;
e. Updatinginventory records and maintaining resource databases.
Toprepare, set up and clear away apparatus, equipment and materials for Scienceand Mathematics practical lessons.
Toassist teachers during lessons by preparing materials, replenishingconsumables, and ensuring the smooth conduct of practical activities.
Tomaintain the cleanliness, organisation and readiness of the Sciencelaboratories, preparation room and storage areas.
Tomaintain Science equipment and teaching resources, including cleaning, checkingfor wear and tear, arranging repairs where necessary, and reporting faulty ordamaged equipment.
Tomonitor and replenish consumables and laboratory supplies, and assist insourcing quotations and purchasing Science resources as required.
Toensure that laboratory equipment, chemicals and materials are stored, labelledand handled in accordance with school safety procedures.
Toassist in conducting regular stock checks and annual inventory verification ofScience equipment and resources.
Toassist in the preparation and logistics for Science-related programmes andevents.
Tocomply with all school policies relating to laboratory safety.
To performany other administrative or operational duties assigned by the school.
Qualification:
The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skillsand experience:
Proficient in Microsoft Officeapplications, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Possess basic knowledge ofPrimary Science and Primary Mathematics.
Must have at least GCE ‘O’Levels – Minimum 3 ‘O’ Level Passes
Must have two (2) years ofrelevant experience performing similar duties in a primary school environment.
