Salesman & Cashier

We are looking for an active and customer-focused Salesman and cashier to join our supermarket team. The role involves assisting customers, handling product displays, maintaining shelf availability, and supporting daily store operations. The ideal candidate should be alert, polite, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist customers in selecting products and promote ongoing offers.
• Process customer purchases accurately using the POS system.
• Handle cash, card, and digital payments, and issue receipts.
• Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Replenish shelves and ensure products are properly displayed with correct pricing.
• Monitor stock levels and report low, damaged, or expired items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and checkout area.
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
• Follow company policies, cash handling procedures, and health & safety standards.
• Support inventory counts and other store operations as assigned.

Requirements

• Min 1 year experience in Bahrain Market
• High school (Plus Two) or equivalent.
• Previous experience in retail, supermarkets, or FMCG is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems and computer operations.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Basic English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
• Honest, reliable, and able to handle cash responsibly.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Physically fit to stand for long hours and assist with stocking shelves.
