Role overview:

We're building the next generation of AI-powered experiences on our Salesforce platform at Planet, and we're looking for an engineer who's excited to help shape it. Our environment is already live with Agentforce, and we want someone to help us extend it — building new agents, refining what's there, and finding smart ways to embed AI into our sales, service, and operational processes.

You don't need to have done all of this before. If you're a Salesforce engineer curious about AI, an AI engineer curious about applying your craft inside a real enterprise platform, or somewhere in between — we'd like to talk to you. What matters most is a builder's mindset, clear thinking about where AI genuinely adds value, and the willingness to learn fast in a space that's still being defined.

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy Agentforce agents — working with Agent Builder, topics, and actions backed by Flow, Apex, or prompt templates.
• Develop AI-grounded features using tools like the Einstein Trust Layer, Prompt Builder, Einstein Studio, and Data Cloud.
• Bring AI into our existing Salesforce estate — Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and the workflows our business depends on day to day.
• Partner with our AI Centre of Excellence and business stakeholders to scope, prioritise, and ship work that matters.
• Tune and evaluate agent behaviour — instructions, grounding data, guardrails, and the outcomes that prove they're working.
• Keep an eye on the roadmap and help us decide what's worth adopting as Agentforce evolves.

Who you are

Core

• A few years of hands-on engineering experience on the Salesforce platform (Flow, Apex, Lightning, data modelling) or equivalent experience as a software/AI engineer with a track record of picking up new platforms quickly.
• Practical experience applying AI or LLMs to real business problems — this could be Agentforce, or it could be work you've done with OpenAI, Anthropic, RAG, vector stores, or similar. We care more about how you think about prompts, grounding, retrieval, and evaluation than about which stack you've used.
• A clear sense of when AI is the right tool and when a deterministic approach is better.
• Experience integrating systems — whether that's Salesforce with other platforms, or stitching services together more generally.
• Awareness of how to deploy AI responsibly in an enterprise context (privacy, trust, guardrails). Familiarity with the Einstein Trust Layer is great; transferable thinking from other regulated environments is equally welcome.
• A pragmatic, build-first mindset — you'd rather ship something useful than debate the perfect design forever.
• Comfort with ambiguity. Agentforce and applied AI more broadly are moving fast; best practice is still being written, and we're writing some of it.
• Clear communication — you can explain what an agent does (and doesn't do) to people who don't live in the platform.
• Curiosity. The best people on this team are the ones who keep learning.

Nice to have

• Hands-on Agentforce experience in a live environment.
• Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I, AI Specialist, Agentforce Specialist) — or willingness to work toward them.
• Experience with Data Cloud, Prompt Builder, or Einstein Studio.
• Background in payments, fintech, or another regulated industry.
• Experience evaluating or fine-tuning LLM behaviour at scale.
