Key responsibilities
- Leading a team of sales operations co-ordinators to deliver best-in-class service across retail, food service, domestic and export customers.
- Lead and develop the customer service team managing all inbound customer calls, emails and queries.
- Lead the training and onboarding of new sales personnel, including systems, pricing structures, customer processes, product ranges and internal ways of working.
- Act as a key point of contact between sales, operations, customer service, finance and supply chain.
- Build scalable sales processes that support growth while maintaining discipline and control.
- Support margin governance by ensuring pricing compliance and approval processes are followed.
- Oversee customer administration for new product lines, including item setup, pricing, specifications, barcodes, customer documentation and launch readiness.
- Coordinate the launch of new products across retail, food service, domestic and export channels, working closely with marketing, operations and supply chain.
- Create and maintain systems to ensure master data is accurate and maintained in ERP/CRM systems.
- Support contingency planning for supply distributions and customer service issues.
- Lead the team to resolve customer issues, with clear communication back to the internal departments.
- Support the team to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of the required documentation for export sales.
About you
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales Operations, Customer Service, Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, Sales Administration or a related FMCG environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams in a customer-focused environment.
- Strong understanding of pricing administrating, customer master data management, and commercial governance processes.
- Experience working with ERP system, CRM platforms, and sales reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Customer Service teams.
- Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience supporting new product launches, customer onboarding and commercial implementation activities.
- High level of competency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to process discipline and continuous improvement.
- Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering best in class service outcomes.
Desirable knowledge, skills, and experience
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, agriculture, protein, export or retail supply chain environments.
- Knowledge of major Australian retail, food service and report customer requirements.
- Experience managing export documentation, logistics coordination and international customer processes.
- Understanding of S\&OP (Sales and Operations Planning), demand planning and inventory management principles.
- Experience implementing process improvement, business transformation or systems projects.
- Experience onboarding and training sales teams on systems, processes and commercial disciplines.
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau or other business intelligence and reporting tools.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing or a related discipline.
- Experience working within a vertically integrated food manufacturing business.
- Understanding of export compliance requirements, customer specifications, and quality management systems.
