Job Description

The Company is a leading construction and specialist contracting company based in Bahrain, delivering high-quality waterproofing, civil, and building envelope solutions across the Kingdom and the wider Gulf region. They are committed to technical excellence, client satisfaction, and sustainable construction practices.

They are seeking a driven, technically proficient Sales Engineer with a strong background in the waterproofing and construction sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, achieving sales targets, managing the full sales cycle from enquiry to invoice, and serving as a trusted technical advisor to clients across Bahrain.

Sales \& Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the waterproofing and construction market in Bahrain.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to consistently meet and exceed monthly and annual revenue targets.
  • Conduct regular client visits, site surveys, and product presentations to architects, consultants, contractors, and project owners.
  • Prepare and submit competitive technical and commercial proposals in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing in line with company policy and margin requirements.

Technical Advisory

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for clients, providing expert guidance on waterproofing systems, application methods, and product selection.
  • Conduct technical seminars, product demonstrations, and site assessments to support the specification and approval of company products and systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop appropriate waterproofing specifications tailored to each project's requirements.
  • Stay current with industry standards, building codes (local and international), and emerging waterproofing technologies.

Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with key clients including developers, main contractors, MEP contractors, and consultants.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle by proactively addressing queries, concerns, and after-sales support.
  • Conduct structured follow-ups on submitted quotations, pending approvals, and ongoing projects to ensure timely decision-making.

Project \& Deadline Management

  • Track and manage multiple active projects simultaneously, ensuring deliverables, material submissions, and project milestones are met on schedule.
  • Coordinate with the operations and procurement teams to confirm material availability, delivery timelines, and on-site readiness.
  • Monitor project progress and escalate any risks or delays to management proactively.

Invoicing \& Financial Follow-Up

  • Prepare and process invoices accurately upon project milestones or delivery, in line with agreed contract terms.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments, work closely with the finance team to maintain healthy cash flow and reduce overdue receivables.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, quotation logs, and payment tracking using Excel and company systems.
  • Produce regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for management review.

QUALIFICATIONS \& EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Chemical Engineering, or a related Civil background
  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven sales experience in the waterproofing, construction chemicals, or building materials sector.
  • Solid technical understanding of waterproofing systems (below-grade, above-grade, roofing, wet areas, structural waterproofing).
  • Familiarity with waterproofing standards and specifications (BS, ASTM, local Bahraini/GCC codes) is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a B2B construction environment.
  • Prior experience working in Bahrain or the GCC market is strongly preferred.

  • Time management \& ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Structured follow-up discipline and attention to detail
  • Arabic language skills are a plus

Pay: BD500.000 - BD900.000 per month
