Location: Muscat, Sultanate of Oman
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Engineer to drive business growth for our Steel Fabrication \& Welding Workshop. The candidate will be responsible for generating new enquiries, visiting clients, preparing quotations, and securing fabrication and construction-related projects throughout Oman.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
- Identify and develop new clients in the industrial, construction, oil \& gas, marine, telecom, and infrastructure sectors.
- Promote the company's steel fabrication and welding services.
- Conduct regular site visits and client meetings.
- Build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, procurement teams, and project managers.
- Generate new RFQs and project opportunities.
Sales \& Estimation Support
- Review client drawings, specifications, and RFQs.
- Coordinate with the workshop and estimation team to prepare quotations.
- Follow up on submitted quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
- Convert enquiries into awarded projects.
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline and customer database.

- Ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Handle client inquiries and project follow-ups.
- Support payment collection and account management.
RequirementsEducation
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in Oman.
- Experience in steel fabrication, structural steel, welding, or construction sales.
- Existing client network in Oman is an advantage.
Skills
- Ability to read and design engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of steel fabrication processes.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with quotation preparation.
Mandatory
- Valid Oman Driving License.
- Fluent in English.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Minimum 15 client visits per month.
- Generate at least 30 new enquiries per month.
- Submit minimum 20 quotations per month.
- Achieve monthly sales target of OMR 20,000-25,000.
- Secure at least 2–3 new customers per quarter.
