As a Safety Operator for Autonomous Delivery Solutions, you will oversee the safe operation of autonomous delivery vehicles, ensuring smooth and reliable logistics operations while working with cutting-edge technology. This role offers hands-on experience in autonomous systems and opportunities to grow into advanced operations such as remote monitoring.

The Role

1. Ensure Safe Autonomous Operations

• Monitor real-time driving performance, road conditions, and system alerts
• Stay ready to take immediate manual control when required to ensure safety
• Identify hazards and respond promptly in dynamic environments
• Apply defensive driving techniques and follow emergency procedures
• Comply with traffic laws, SOPs, and operational guidelines

2. Support Logistics \& Daily Operations

• Coordinate and manage delivery jobs, scheduling, and routing activities
• Ensure smooth entry and exit into controlled zones and completion of job orders
• Conduct pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections
• Support service coordination with clients and operations teams
• Log operational issues, defects, and system data accurately

3. Collaborate \& Communicate

• Work closely with control centre, engineers, and field teams
• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and authorities
• Provide basic customer interaction and address queries during operations

4. Reporting \& Safety Compliance

• Report incidents, near-misses, and system disengagements promptly
• Maintain accurate shift logs and operational records
• Escalate safety or technical concerns in a timely manner
• Support compliance with regulatory and safety requirements

Job Requirements The Requirement

• Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence (Class 4 will be an advantage)
• At least 2–3 years of safe driving experience in delivery, logistics or commercial driving roles will be an advantage
• Comfortable with shift work and flexible hours, including off-peak operations in line with operational and regulatory requirements
• Comfortable using digital tools and onboard systems (e.g. tablets, telematics, logging systems, radios)
• Proactive in learning and adapting to new safety procedures and technologies
• Good communication skills and confidence engaging with passengers/public
