How you will make an impact

Define and maintain the safety architecture for a complex SoC SW platform, covering low-level software including hypervisor integration, bootloader, and OS-level components.

Key Responsibilities

• Derive and allocate safety requirements from system level down to SW components
• Design safety mechanisms for freedom from interference (FFI) across partitions, cores, and privilege levels
• Own the SW safety architecture in the context of hypervisor-based virtualization (e.g. QNX Hypervisor integration)
• Maintain the hardware–software interface (HSI) definition and support integration with SoC safety features (MPU/MMU, ECC, lockstep cores, etc.)
• Collaborate with developers on safe bootloader design, integrity checking, and startup/shutdown sequences
• Contribute to safety analyses and review SW implementation against architectural intent

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience on a similar role
• Deep understanding of ISO 26262 Part 6 (SW) and Part 4 (system-level context)
• Hands-on experience with SoC platforms in safety-relevant projects — understanding of hardware safety features matters here
• Experience with hypervisor architectures (QNX, Xen, or similar) in safety or mixed-criticality contexts
• Low-level SW background: bootloaders, bare-metal, RTOS, or OS internals
• Able to bridge the gap between system safety requirements and what's actually implementable
