Duties

• Safely load, unload, and transport packages using various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and courier vans, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Drive route-specific vehicles while following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe driving practices.
• Manually handle packages of varying weights, employing proper lifting techniques to prevent injury and ensure safety.
• Deliver mail and parcels to residential and business addresses with professionalism, friendliness, and accuracy.
• Load and unload shipments efficiently using forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary, ensuring proper weight handling in the workplace.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, route logs, and delivery confirmations to ensure accountability.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing recipient questions or concerns courteously during deliveries.

Requirements

• Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with manual handling and heavy lifting techniques.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving or box trucks is preferred.
• Knowledge of safe lifting practices, weight handling in the workplace, and moving heavy items safely.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Familiarity with route driving, courier services, or delivery driver experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to adhere to DOT regulations and maintain compliance during all driving activities.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Physical ability to lift heavy packages repeatedly throughout the shift while following safe lifting practices.
